what is the relationship between reliability and validity

Report as

Reliability and validity both refer to the truthfulness of something. Reliability can refer to a person, object, idea, or information. Validity is more specifically referring to ideas or information that can be verified as being true. The main relationship between the two of them would be as they refer to ideas or information that is true. Reliable information can be established as true and well founded in fact, and so can valid information.
