how does an boiler aquastat work

Report as

An aquastat is used to control water temperature within a boiler system. The aquastat works by using a thermostat and pre-defined upper and lower temperature ranges which the thermostat references to instruct the system on whether to activate or deactivate the heating mechanism. For example, when the temperature reaches the lower range of the upper limit, the heating mechanism may be instructed to deactivate. On the other hand, when temperature reaches the minimum range of the lower limit, the heating mechanism may be activated to keep the water adequately warm.
