If i sold my house and lost the paperwork, where can i get a copy of the documentation?

Usually from the bank and/or the county. All property transfers are registered at the county so they know who to bill for property taxes. Also, the title company would retain certain information on the transfer. But finally, the bank will have record of the clearance of the mortgage.

If you lost the paper work, the first step you need t take is to file a police complaint. You should file an FIR stating that the documents have been lost, misplaced or stolen, and get a copy of the complaint. You can then apply for a duplicate share certificate from the housing society, which can put up the application at its society meeting.
