Possibly. Make sure you're not pulling up on your neck when you're doing crunches. Hopefully, it's just sore muscles that will pass in time. If the pain were to get worse or was a piercing pain instead of an ache, it would be time to see a doctor.
You're definetly going to go through a lot of hurt if you've just started working out physically every day. Sometimes we work out so much we need to do it every other day. The best thing I do after I work out is stay in the shower for a good hour afterwords and let the water pressure soften up my muscles. If your shoulder blades are still hurting maybe you could have pulled a muscle or something. Who knows there could be a lot of reasons for this pain. If it dosen't go away in about a week I'd say, talk to a Doctor about it.
From what I understand, a sore muscle is a muscle that has been pushed further than what it is normally accustomed to, and that your body is rebuilding that used muscle to be stronger than what is used to be.
