How to List Fractions from Least to Greatest?
3/7 --- half of 7 is 3.5 so 3/7 is less than half. 3/5 --- half of 5 is 2.5 so 3/5 is greater than half. so the order of these 3 fractions from least to greatest would be3/71/23/5
The bigger the denominator, the smaller the fraction. For example, 1/2 is bigger than 1/5 which is bigger than 1/75... You can also find a common denominator which would help you a lot.
Change each fraction into a decimal by doing numerator / denominator. You will get : 0.5, 0.6 and about 0.43. Put them in order least to greatest, then replace with the corresponding fraction. You could also place them on a number line.
