Does Jesus still perform the same miracles now, though spiritually, as He done physically during His ministry on earth?

If we think of His miracles, while they were what they were, and examine each one in a spiritual context, is He still performing them? I think so, but I'm curious what others think.

He is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. isn't that great?

I disagree. Gods miracles are timeless. Once done, it remains done, and His power is the same now as it was when He created.

As for the '0' line, appearing on toast, never was a miracle God would do.

Thanks for sharing though!

No...ever since the invention of the camera and such He seemed to be the hide and seek champion of the Universe. Its amazing how He just disappeared or it might be we just srarted to think freely and now know He never existed.

Do you think He still performs the same miracles, as He done on earth then, today, except spiritually now?

Like;

I was blind but now I see.
I was dead but now I live.
I was lame but now I walk.
I was hungry but now I'm full.
My life was water but now its wine.
Etc.

:-)

Oh yes Jesus is here its threw the Holy Ghost He does miracles His 2 Peter 2:9 God church is the true church we God people read it. The day of Pentecost. Books of Acts tell us about the Church.

Personally, I think He performs more miracles now on a daily basis than we read about in the New Testament.

Uncountable.

John says

"This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written."

There is no reason to believe that the supernatural claims of miracles that Jesus performed were real. Sorry Exn, those miracles probably didn't happen.

He did some pretty good tricks while he was alive. Mind-boggling stuff. It'd be amazing if he could still do then after being dead for two thousand years.

Aha, you say that He is dead, but He is risen as a glorified man and ascended beyond the universe into heaven. His glorified body is there, and His divine presence is throughout His entire creation.

He is there, glorified, and He is here divinely.

Indeed, He works these miracles today; giving vision; giving life; etc to all who accept His offer to do so. :-)

Now you knew many of us would point out that little problem when you asked the question, Ex. :D
Report as
Hmm. It's not really a problem for those who believe and have come to know Gods power for what it is and isn't.

Besides, although I didn't exclude anyone (who am I to say who can answer?), this question was meant for believers. I accept that non-believers will argue against the presupposition of Christ doing anything at all ever. :-)

Thanks for your answer though. You're a pleasure to talk with.
Report as
You're very kind, Ex. :)
Report as
I wish it were so, but much like yourself, I have my good and bad moments! XD

The two natures within me struggle and quarrel still, but in Christ I find my hope that the bad will cease to exist some day, an in the mean time, the good can prevail if I follow His teachings.
Report as
Actually, you're one of only a couple non-believers, who is also a regular here on Ask, with which whom I enjoy reading and look forward to future encounters.

You are quite a gentleman, if I do say so myself. Thank you for that.
Report as
It's nice of you to say that, Ex. I know I upset a lot of people, and I know my sense of humour is often taken as sarcasm, but I learn more from the people who disagree with me than from those who share my ideas. So I appreciate the interaction.
Report as
Certainly we all upset each other from time to time.

Just don't set a drop-bear against me, dodgy, and I'll thank you greatly. ;-)
Report as
LOL I had to look that up. I hadn't heard of a drop bear.

It is funny how unbelievers say we are blind, when in reality, it is they that are blind.

Well, Christians may think of raising the dead as a miracle, but most of humanity has, from time immemorial, considered it necromancy, the blackest of black magics, and the worst of taboos for a good reason. So let's hope not.

Even an unsubstantiated rumour of such activities would have been quite sufficient to get a person executed, back in those days. IF there was an historical personage behind the myth, that would very likely have been the cause of his demise.
Report as
Hm.

How familiar are you with Jewish culture? Pharisee and saducees etc
Report as
Not very, Haven't gone down that rabbit hole, but if you have a point to make. please feel free,
Report as
Some did believe in resurrection, namely the Pharisee.

Anyways, my point is different cultures, at different points in history, would have viewed the resurrection of the dead differently. I don't think it's entirely fair to say the people would've killed anyone who did such a miracle.

That's all. :-)
Report as
Have to disagree. I'm no Bible scholar but I know a thing or two about cultural anthropology.

Yes,of course he does.He generally does it through answering prayer.Like if someone gets sick and the doctors say there is no more options. Then that person miraculously is healed.Accident?I think not. :) hope i helped!

He did say to the disciples that greater things we would be able to do in His name. Even today we can receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and even today God makes supernatural manifestations. But it has its requirements.
