What is the meaning behind "Fake It", by Seether?

Report as

It's about someone at a church with no faith but they are just going through the motions. Particularly the preacher. He knows what he is doing is wrong- because most atheist recognize the harm that religion does- but he's doing it anyway and trying to console himself. He's a skeptic but acts like a Christian.
He wants to leave and intends to but its where his paycheck comes from and he hates himself for it. He wanted to change the world for the better but now he's just a virus infecting the minds of the youth with total poison, bringing hate and intolerance to this generation. He feels deceived and then he's doing the same thing that happened to him.
That is what I read but maybe I'm wrong. Personally, I think there are no small number of people like this. The proof is in the pudding on the preachers though with over 40000 just in the US who attend atheist support groups and belong to and are active preachers/pastors still preaching the gospel to a congregation.

Thanks, it sounds just about right. My friend was saying it was about some Ancient Egyptian legend or something, lol. Thank you.
