Raised tiles in ground floor bedroom...what's going on?

We just discovered a 2 x 1 ft "lump" in the floor under our tiles. It looks ominous...who should we call to assess the problem? The room has an attached bathroom and opens out to the backyard.

It might be that the glue that holds the tiles to the floor has come off, which usually raises the tiles a bit. Call a contractor dealing with the installation of tiles; he will remove the tiles, assess the problem and advice you accordingly.

Earthquakes can cause moving of tiles. Even water damage beneath the ground. Or like the other person said, glue. But usually glue isn't used for tile, so it had to be shifting ground beneath it.
