Because god is either nonexistent, malevolent, impotent or apathetic by which case he is also malevolent. As you can see, the people claiming god is real all have woefully inadequate answers. I'll leave the rest up to you.
Because we have free will, and not all of us are good people. Even good people make bad decisions from time to time, and if a god set the world in motion perhaps he has chosen not to interfere for a reason. It doesn't have to be a mysterious reason or even a good reason. If a god did set this whole thing in motion, I'd hope there was a plan, but I'll just have to wait and see.
Evil and sin are the absence of God in people's hearts. Sometimes, god will allow people to die so that they can be in heaven instead of hsving horrible memories and injurys (think mercy kill). People can choose to accept gods plan (mostly accept anyway) will have eternal life in heaven. Those who deny God's plan or existance will be taken by sin and the devil, but will always have the chance to repent. God is a god that loves his people, even when they don't love him. If you feel swayed in your faith, try joining small groups in your church. Remember, just because you go to church, doesn't make you a christian. Spread the good word, and sin will flee from all who do.
Dont belive who says god is not real :god is real but everyone has done sth bad in his life/and god created us to learn how depend on our selfs and to be careful in every step and to see the difference between the right & wrong this is the life
The only reasonable and logical answer is that there is no god. You could answer "because there is free will" but then the whole point of prayer goes out the window (isn't the whole point of prayer to get god to do things for you and, well, intervene?) Christians are supposed to believe in "divine intervention" yet they claim to only believe so when good things happen. If you get in a car crash and survive, you thank god. But you never wonder why he couldn't have just prevented the entire accident in the first place. And if you're raped, I guess god wasn't around at the time. If he was around and did nothing, then he's a pretty lame god. There are also many other disasters that could be prevented without affecting free will. For instance, preventing an earthquake in CA or tornado in Kansas would not abridge anyone's freedoms, yet they happen anyway.

Can a God of love also be a God of wrath Of course. All loving persons are sometimes filled with wrath precisely because of their love. What kind of a God would not be angry at injustice and evil.
We must remember that God is God! He controls all of life and death, even our own. Add to that the sinful nature of us all, God owes us NOTHING! It is a miracle that God spares any of us. And just because we finite people cannot understand or think of a good reason why God does something, does not mean that there is not a good reason.
This world is not a resting place , it is a testing place , hence the necessity for evil .
The question is not why there is evil , rather , how and why do you recognize something called evil ? For you as an evolved animal , there is no evil , no good . It is just a bunch of animals fighting for the survival came here by unconscious forces . So , if you are to blame anyone , blame mother nature who blessed you with conscious and gave you the ability to feel what is good and bad . That being said , there is no relation between the existence of God and evil .
I believe the perfect world that we would love to have was ended with the original sin that man put on himself with Adam and Eve need for a fruit that God forbidden to eat. That is the sin we are all born with and the reason why there is evil in this world. Jesus Christ takes away that sin when He suffered died was buried and rose after the 3rd day, life is no longer over when we die if we love Jesus Christ. Our spiritual life will be perfect with no crime spending eternity with Jesus.
It won't always be this way one day it all will change people and their habitat the earth. In his time their will be a new heaven and a new earth and people want be evil anymore.=========================== For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. (Isaiah 65:17-19 KJV)================================And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (Revelation 21:1-5 KJV)
If God is not real, why are people protected every day from robbery, rape, murder, etc.? If God is not real, why are there happy marriages, obedient children, honest employees, etc.?
One point being...You have no proof that God has not and is not protecting you this very day from any number of dangers. Another point...if you are going to blame God for evil, are you going to credit Him for good?
The point being...the existence of good and evil do not disprove the existence of God. If anything, it proves God. Without God, moral absolutes are a joke and you have no right to judge someone who shoots up a school or an office.
Taking your 'logic' to its ultimate conclusion...God should get rid of all evil...as long as He stops when He gets to your doorstep. The whole presumption ignores the nature of God, the nature of man, the nature of evil...as well as God's plan for redemption and justice.
The main point...your presumption is a logical fallacy at best. At worst, it claims to know better than God. Those who scorn their Maker are treading on dangerous ground, which proves God is patient, kind, merciful...or He would do to them what you suggest in your own question.
Asking "Why doesn't God stop evil?" really and truly amounts to, "Why doesn't God turn all humans into a mindless zombies?" God doesn't do evil; people do. And God doesn't stop people from doing evil, because doing so would mean violating their free will, which God won't do out of his deep and abiding love for us. God's love for us means we're free to do whatever we want, evil included. That evil exists doesn't prove that God is not benevolent. It proves just how benevolent he is . John Shore
Christians, as you can see, just claim that evil is necessary byproduct of free will. Two problems with this claim however:
(1) they claim there will be no sin or evil in heaven, yet humans will still have free will there. Which means allegedly "god" is capable of creating an environment where free will and lack of evil exist simultaneously, yet didn't do so on Earth. Which is pretty malicious.
(2) to claim that "god" HAD TO allow evil to give humans free will negates omnipotence. If a deity were truly omnipotent, it would be perfectly capable of creating humans with the ability to choose "sin" and evil but no desire to, for example. Of course, the original core tale of this whole venture, the Adam and Eve myth, shows their "god" is either not omnipotent or is malicious in the first place.
Because God has blessed us with a free will. It is up to US to decide whether to act upon our temptations that the devil ha set in our minds, or to try to swerve from those ways and be as God wants us to be. I believe God allows this to happen to certain people because he wants the experience to mold and strengthen them into stronger people. Make them even better than what they already were. The fact that there is evil in this world to begin with, is because this world is kind of like a training field for everyone. God tests us to see if we are going to do the right thing, or the wrong thing. That is where the bible and ten commandments come in. Use those as guidelines to help you make the godly decisions. If we accept God into our hearts and try to live like him, we will receive our reward in heaven. If we just do what we want when we wanted to and tossed God aside, or even worse, let the devil trick you into believing he doesn't exist, you will most likely spend all eternity with Satan, and believe me. That is NOT a place you want to go. You will be in excruciating pain, listening to the screams of others, among other horrible things. Doesn't sound fun, does it? I don't understand the reason as to why God does some of the things he does, I'm only 17 for goodness sakes, so hopefully I'll learn more, but the thing is, it's not our job to understand God. It's to trust that he will see us through the hardships, whether the suffering lasts a day, a week, a month, a year, etc. Our job is to be patient, and keep our faith, and we will pass the test. God isn't just going to prove himself. You have to have the faith before you get your proof. Honestly, if I didn't have God, I would probably be a very sad, bitter person. Joyce Meyer explains things so much better than me if none of your answers are good enough for you. Have a nice day! :)
as per the bible, He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
if you want to become unjust then continue to be unjust, if you want filthiness then continue to be filthy, if you are righteous then continue to be righteous and holy then continue to be holy, HOWEVER, prepare yourself in the jugment day. God allows you to enjoy your free will on earth but in the judgement day, you will be judged according to what you did.
Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
it does not mean that there is No God or He does not exist. He just allowing you to believe what you want to believe and do what ever you want to do but be accountable for it and prepare yourself in the judgement day.
Every fact that we know of, testifies against the existence of any God. Only those who are blind to facts, and only those who reach conclusions without the assistance of evidence can witness the condition of this world and still believe in the existence of an infinitely wise, good, loving and kind God. The existence of God rests only upon the dreams of the impostor, visions of the ignorant and ravings of the insane. It is impossible to conceive of a more thoroughly despicable, hateful, and tyrannical being, than the god who governs this world. And when I think of all the sufferings of man - of the centuries of suffering, tears, and miseries, I wonder: If a God indeed exists, is it possible for man to forgive this God?
I do not know if a God does or doesn't exist, but if he does, I do ask, what is God doing? Look at the agonies, pains, injustices and woes all over. Is there Godly goodness in all these? What kind of a God sits idly on his throne and allow his enemies to wet their swords in the blood of his innocent friends who loved this God? Why is innocence not a perfect shield? Why does injustice triumph? How can a God see starving babies crawling over the empty breasts of dead mothers for a drop of milk, hear the sobs of desperate fathers trying to quench dying thirst by sucking blood from the dead lips of their darling daughters, and yet remain as pitiless as pestilence? And yet we are told that, God, you see, loves us! If God won't love man in such times, then under what circumstances does God love them? If the condition of this world is as it is, despite God loved us, then I shudder even to ask: If this God had not loved us, what would he have done?
Admitting that a God exist, the question is is he capable of eradicating the evil or does he delight in the miseries of men? Is God able to diminish the sufferings of men, or does God's malice increase by the agonies he inflict upon men? If a being can destroy evil and still does not, should we love him as God or loath him as the devil? Does the suffering and evil of this world prove that he can do anything? If I had infinite power and couldn?t protect my children and had been compelled to let them suffer, why, I?d be ashamed and rather resign from my fatherhood, in fact, any honorable man would!

That's an excellent question. As the bible tells us, "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."(rev 12:9) to find out the reason why there is so much suffering, and when it will end, follow this link:
Using a Illustration: If someone made a charge before the whole community that you abused your position as a Father, that your children would be better off if they made their decisions independent of you, and that all of them obeyed you, not because of love, but because of material benefits you provided, what would be the best way to settle the matter?? Would shooting the false accuser put the charged to rest in the minds of the community?? Instead, what a fine answer it would be if you have your children opportunity to be your witness to show that you are a just and living father and that they live with you because they love you! If some of your children believed your adversary, left home, and ruined their lives by adopting others life-styles, it would only make honest observers realize that the children would have been better off if they had heeded your direction. If we are parents, which makes us happier--- when our children obey us because they Love us or when we make them do it?? Should God have forced Adam an Eve to be obedient?? Would we really be happier if we lived in a world where we where forced to obey God?? Before destroying this wicked system, God is allowing opportunity for people to demonstrate whether they really want to live in harmony with his righteous laws or not. At his appointed time, he will destroy the wicked.---"He isn't really being slow about his promised return, even though it sometimes seems that way. But he is waiting, for the good reason that he is not willing that any should perish, and he is giving more time for sinners to repent." ( 2 Peter 3:9) Living Bible For thousands of years people have blamed him, even cursed him, for the bad conditions they have endured. Yet, these are caused, not by him, but by Satan. If you want to blame any one , blame Satan. and wicked men. He is the ruler of this world (1 John 5:19) But the blame where it should be, he is the cause for all this suffering.
Personally I believe when get set forth the motion for the rock to roll. The rock is gonna roll. Why he rarely interferes with that I don't know but his lack thereof could be a sign of a greater purpose or plan.
Im not going to tell you to believe in God or not. I am a Sunday school teacher and i question why are some hit harder than others? why is my suffering so hard to deal with? Have you heard the story of Job a man of God who lost everything-God, however, told Satan that you cannot touch Job's soul. I cannot understand the Lords ways, all i can tell you is that when the day is done-in a world so vain and cruel-the only peace i recieve is from God who is not of this world
