Help! My iPhone 4s is not recognizing the charger or something and I can't get it to charge. What do I do?!

It's like it charges and then stops. It will only hold a charge for maybe half of a second. And I have tried multiple charging sources:
*outlet
*car outlet (the -.- type outlet but in a car)
*car charger
*usb

I don't know what to do and we don't have a landline, what if I have an emergency?!

New Battery time... and since Apple controls this stuff, you gotta take it to the Apple store to get a new battery. (That is another reason why I'm an Android guy)

get a charger that goes into a laptop and see if that works. If not, turn off the laptop, put in the charger and turn the laptop back on. That should work.
