why is my dog dragging his back legs

Report as

Dogs drag their back legs because their anal scent glands are irritated. Usually, the anal glands empty when the dog uses the bathroom, but often when they are infected, they do not empty properly. This makes the dog extremely uncomfortable. Veterinarians and dog groomers are both properly trained to massage the anal glands to make them empty manually.
