After getting a bachelor's degree in Psychology, what's the best route to go?

Going for a PhD or Masters would help me earn the most money, but I am worried that grad school is too difficult and not right for me. I know Psychology majors typically have a hard time in the job field, so I'm wondering if I should find online courses to get certified in some kind of business-y thing or suck it up and go to grad school. I've always wanted to be a psychologist, but I realize this isn't the most practical goal. What other careers could a psych degree be applied?

A psych degree is actually accepted in many different fields. But, if you want to do counseling you wouldn't enjoy those fields. I'm currently a social work major and I'm going for my masters to become a counselor. It's less time and money than a PHD, but the pay is less. However, you can do regular social work at a hospital (highest paying for sw) while you get your PHD in Psych.

Get a license in social work, you can be one with a bachelors degree in your field. While you're a social worker keep going to school for your PhD in psychology so that you can become a psychologist. That's what I'm doing.

You can also get your Masters in Social Work and become a counselor. You don't make as much, but it's much less schooling and the only way for a social worker to do one on one counseling.

Yup! That's another stepping stone I have in mind. Being a social worker with a bachelor's degree is very limited, but you can easily get your master's payed for by whoever you end up working for!

To continue working in that field, you really need post-graduate studies. Graduate school is actually easier than undergraduate because you don't have all those other required courses to take - just ones in your subject area. Look into it.
