I ask why movies DON'T freak you out... I used to work in this industry and I can tell you that the odds are you refuse to allow the magic to happen. Stop thinking, "this is just a movie," " this doesn't freak me out" things like that. Just get into it, open yourself to the thrill. Allow yourself to be engrossed by the story and don't attempt to anticipate the next move. May be a good idea to find some really old movies like Fantasm and just get into them. Then move to the newer ones, which you seem to be unmoved by for any number of reasons. Good Luck, I hope to hear you had the Yell scared out of you. House on haunted hill made in 1959. it is a black and white movie and does not depend on jump out scares or darkness to scare you. It was filmed in a way that gives you a very creepy feeling the whole time. it is one of my favorite horror movies!
