My iphone 4 touchscreen wont work ... What do I do?

There is no water damage or anything it has never fell/been in water. I didnt know what assistive touch was so i turned it on; a white dot came up on the screen and ever since then I can't get into my phone or shut it off, the only thing that will work is the assistive touch.... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Your iPhone may need a system restore using the iTunes. You should also visit the nearest Apple store and tell them about the problem that you are experiencing. They should be able to help you fix it so that it can be able to function normally again.

With assistive touch you can click "device" then hold "lock screen" should power it off. If power button won't turn it back on then plugging it in should.
