He was a Jew because he was born of Jewish parents in a Jewish family in a Jewish town and raised in a Jewish home.. I don't think that the whole "son of god" stuff came about until much later in his life. In fact, I don't see anywhere in the bible that he called himself a Christian. He obeyed the Jewish holidays and festivals. I'm betting he also had a Bar Mitzvah and was raised in Temple.
God sent jesus to earth in the flesh so that we might be saved. He sent jesus in the flesh and gave him an origin like where he was to be raised, Nazareth, and wat he was to be a jew. He guided and sent angels to his parents to where he shall be raised. He sunt jesus so we might be able to go to heaven.
Yes, absolutely Jesus was born unto mankind as a Jew! God chose the Jewish people to reveal Himself to all of us and it was through the Jewish people who God revealed Himself and fulfilled His covenant with Abraham, which is found in the messiah, Jesus Christ. Through Christ we discover God.
The inherent bias in your question was not lost on me. You are assuming that God is Christian. The way the story goes, although there is no historical evidence of this, is that God chose the Jewish people, (Israelites) to be his "chosen people" over all other religions and would one day send a messiah to deliver them. Jesus was born to Jewish parents, and observed all Jewish traditions. One day, he decided to form his own cult and called it Christianity. He then said that he was the messiah sent by God to deliver the Jewish people. Very few people bought it. The Roman leader saw him as a threat to his rule and killed him. A few hundred years later, his followers put a book together (the Bible) saying that if you didn't believe that Jesus was the one and only messiah, then you would not be delivered unto God. End of story.

God is not a man, so Jesus cannot be of the same race as God. When we say that Jesus was the son of God, we don't mean it physically. Mary and Joseph were Jesus' parents who actually gave birth to him. They were jewish. Jesus was God in a man form, come forth to save the world.
Mary gave birth to Jesus. She was Jewish--------------- ? In the Bible, Jews were called Hebrews or Children of Israel ? The terms "Jew" and "Judaism" come from the tribe or kingdom of Judah ? "Jew" now refers to all physical and spiritual descendants of Jacob ? A person can be Jewish by birth or by conversion ? Traditionally, Jewish status passes through the mother, not the father
During His lifetime, no persons were described as "Jews" anywhere. That fact is supported by theology, history and science. When Jesus was in Judea, it was not the "homeland" of the ancestors of those who today style themselves "Jews". Their ancestors never set a foot in Judea. They existed at that time in Asia, their "homeland", and were known as Khazars. In none of the manuscripts of the original Old or New Testament was Jesus described or referred to as a "Jew". The term originated in the late eighteenth century as an abbreviation of the term Judean and refers to a resident of Judea without regard to race or religion, just as the term "Texan" signifies a person living in Texas.
At the time the Jews were Jesus chosen people, the direct descendants of Abraham. It is not unusual then that God chose a Jewish community for Jesus to be born and raised in. However, tho Jewish by birth, Jesus was and is son of God above all else and he spent most of his ministry speaking out against the Jewish teachings which were contrary to Gods teaching and which set him against the Jewish leadership and eventually lead to their having him arrested.
