Do other arm exercises, like bicep curls, & concentration curls. You have to build up to strengthening your muscle.

the only way is to try again and again, until you can do more.

Hey, I know whatcha mean! My dad works in iraq and he LOVES making me "workout"... I hate it! So, there really isnt a secret, you just have to keep trying, and practicing... If you think positive, and tell yourself as you practice "I can do this, I can do 100 push ups!" I know it sounds silly, but it works. The past month that i say "My crush will talk to me" over and over again... guess what? He does. Just say whatever you want to have and it might happen. not right away always so dont get furusterated.

watch "The Secret" on Hulu. it will help.

Push ups aren't a good arm workout. Do curls, arm circles, bench press etc. Push ups are bad for your joints actually. Look up apps on your phone for arm workout ideas. Remember to give yourself 1 or 2 days break in between "arm day" so they have time to heal up and build. Don't work anything except for cardio and arms on arm days. That's with any specific day actually, only work that muscle group on that assigned day. And eat protein at least 20 minutes after your workout to help build. Good luck!

As far as running... you'll only get as far as your mind allows you to... it's all about motivation, determination, and pushing yourself past your comfort zone. I've been building my running up for a year now and I've hit plateaus like that just like you are! But with much determination and the right mindset, I've gotten to 8 miles a day. I started with barely being able to do a mile and a half without walking every so often! You can get there XD

At home put your legs up on the couch and then do a push up that way. It is easier and will strengthen your muscles
