If a girl that I'm in close relationship with says "you're more than just a friend", does that mean I'm her boyfriend?

I'm not a native speaker, so I'm not sure about what it exactly means. I'd just like to hear your opinions.

It means she has very strong romantic feelings! That answer comes from experience on the female side .

So do you mean that she will answer this question by herself without my asking?

I think so, by the way she treats you

It could possibly mean that. But it could also mean that she considers you a close friend. Somebody she can confide in, and knows that she can trust with anything. Give it time, if she is really romantically interested in you, she will say other things to show this, and her feelings will begin to show more. Try not to rush it, just take it slow.

There's an unofficial country called "more than a friend", it exists between friend and boyfriend. In my opinion, sometimes this is just the need for formally declaring that you are king of the land...an announcement to make it official. Ask her what she meant...

I wouldn't begin to guess what she means, but I would take it as a positive sign for developing the relationship further. I suspect it means she thinks about you when you aren't around, and that's a great sign.

not yet, but she wants you to make the first move, sounds like she's been waiting a while for you to do so too.
