There's a green layer on top of a burn I have on my leg? Is it a scab or part of the infection?
I got a motorcycle exhaust burn in my leg last Wednesday. I washed it and put ointment on it. on Saturday I went to the doctor because it looked infected, so he dressed the wound. he used antiseptic then applied some antibiotic burn cream, on top a paraffin gauze then a cotton bandage to secure everything. He told me not to get it wet and to change the dressing on Monday. So I changed it and I'm not sure if it's healing or not. A green layer covers part of my burn. I tried rinsing it off but its become somewhat hard. Is this sign of scabbing? Or of deeper infection? There was no sign of pus whatsoever, but it's still around the edges. So what is it?
