Yes, I do.
You know me nightowl.
But I still have trouble figuring out how to ask questions here and have them posted.
I don't care for how I sometimes have to word things, but I think I will get better at it as I go along.
I just found out about the activity bar by accident a few weeks ago, lol.
And I still have not learned how to keep from taking the bait the atheists throw out to get my good questions pulled.
But I am figuring it out.
Report as
Im lost, howwhy are you geting your questions pulled?
Report as
I finally got a question posted about a Jesus question and an 'opponent' started an argument with a youth in its comments so it was pulled.
Another time I was challenged so I commented back and the question was pulled.
They said in my email, that I was the one who did not play fair!
I am trying to learn to not take the bait so do not even talk to one of the main culprits.
Report as
Lol, I am 52 yrs.old and still can't keep from falling for things like that. I am afraid that by the time i learn to reign in my thoughts and words that I will be too old to care!
Report as
I am 58. :)
We are just too sweet to think others would try such tactics. lol
Report as
Lol i gess thats were age dose come in im 22 and try not to fight...well out and out fight :D cause it will always come back to bite you, i get the anger its bad when there ar 12 yearolds on here trying to start fights :(

I got fed up that adults were going after children on my questions.
That is low tactics in anyone's book. (But their own I guess.)
My aim is to help where I can, make online friends, and have and give fun and blessings.
Report as
I agree thats how it should be, but i do like when i "discuss" with someone else who has a difrent opinion because it forces us both to really think about our ancers

It is great to talk together. To seek other insights.
I love it. As long as no one is getting set up or jumped on.

I have to say though, I don't think asking forgiveness is necessary to forgness after initially accepting Jesus' finished work at the cross as payment for our sins.
I'm not saying we shouldn't talk it over with God when we blow it, I am saying that Jesus did it all.

Hey, Jayman, free running is soooo cool!
I used to run like the wind when I was a youth.
That was back in the 60's lol.
I did some on my own but unfortunately had to quit because I was damaging my ankles not knowing about rolling on the leap down.
Report as
Yea, free running is a ton of fun, and great exercise, I love to do it whenever I can!

Have you ever posted on YouTube?
Some of those guys are dynamite!
Haven't seen as many girls going into it as I would like though.
I was such a tomboy it just came naturally.
Report as
Actually I haven't posted anything on You Tube, I don't think I'm quite good enough for You Tube, but someday I hope to get that good. Yea some of those guys on You Tube are incredible! And yea, I've only seen a couple girl parkourists (however the ones I have seen are really good at it!) That's cool that you did it when you were younger! :D
Report as
Only a bit, but I loved it.
Report as
That's good :D
Report as
Do you have good place to practice?
I am a county girl so I vaulted my horse, ran in the woods and jumped walls, signs, anything.
Report as
I have moderately good places to train, I live in the city, and the main city part has pretty much no parkour spots, however, we have a lot of parks and pinic tables and those are great for practicing on!
Report as
That is good.
Do you have a group you run with, or do you work alone?
Both ways are fun, but I think a group is better.
Report as
I would like to chat more about some mutual interests, such as your movie making and Rochester (beautiful place) but I have to get to bed early tonight. So maybe later if you like.
Gonna go see my daughter tomorrow.

Can you show me where that is in the Bible love?
Report as
I forgot what verse it is but it is in the bible : )
Report as
No honey, it isn't.
Some people say you can't ask forgiveness once you are dead, but one who has accepted Jesus is forgiven of ALL sin, past, present, AND FUTURE. Once and for all.
Report as
i disagree sump; it is in the bible, i'm sure i have read it....i think you both are right in a way.
Report as
It's not in there. I think it's in some of the manuscripts which the RCC uses. But I could be mistaken, I'm not a catholic.
Report as
its in there i went to catholic school when i was young also and learned that god forgives everything except for suicide
Report as
It might be in one of the added books of the Catholic religion.
Those particular works were not included in the Bible because;
They are not geographically correct.
They are not historically correct.
And most importantly, Jesus never quoted from any of them.
However, nothing negates the fact that Jesus paid the penalty for ALL sin. Past, present and future.
Report as
ok maybe in catholic school the teacher was wrong but i tried

I just looked up Kawasaki Vulcan because I did not know if it was a type of bike, or if you liked Kawasaki' in general and also Star Trek, lol.
Wow! Nice bike!
I love the fenders and pipes, and how low it rides.
Passenger seat doesn't look too comfy for a long trip though.
Hubby and I took a cross country trip (and through Canada) 'way back' in 1976 on a little Suzuki 500.
Full faring and saddlebags. All our gear packed on.
And a roll bar. (That was after hubby laid it down and drilled a hole in his knee on some unexpectedly deep gravel.)
People are always surprised that little bike got us through so much.
We were both a lot smaller then. lol
We could set up and break down camp in less than fifteen minutes including a cook camp fire.
Good memories.

How do you spell 'well built'? TUCKER! lol

Hi kawasaki!
I finally found our question again!
I couldn't remember where we had talked.
I had a question about those tires on your truck.
That is something I know nothing of and am curious.
Doing what?...'drag outs?'
Do you use retreads to lay down that much rubber.
I mean, they can't last long doing that.
Sounds like an expensive hobby.
How does that work?
Report as
We took old tires that were bad and put those on the pickup, what i did in that video was i put a type of lubricant underneath the tires

I had a chance to get a 1960s Bel air 20 years, but had to pass it up.
I needed a car that ran well and as much as I loved that beauty it was not sound at all.
Oh, I still drool over that thing though!
I ended up getting a smooth, long running Diplomat.
My first luxury car, and what a ride!
The A.C. would ice me out in a matter of minutes. (Which I love, lol)
I had it for about 10 years then sold it to an old lady.
She got hit in it and it saved her bacon.
Only a small dent and she was fine.

Depends on what you mean. If you mean 'will He totally remove the consequences of my actions so I get off scot free' then no He pretty much wont do that. He is all about accountability.
But if you mean 'will God forgive me if I ask and help me survive the consequences of my actions then help me never to make the same bad choices again' then yes He will if you ask Him with a fully repentant heart.

Helpful (1) Fun Thanks for voting Comments (1)

But wasn't all of our accountability poured out on Jesus' finished work at the cross?
He was, once and for all, held accountable for us.
We received His goodness for our sin, His healing for our sickness, His wealth for our poverty. It is an amazing deal!
And God certain does help turn things around when we botch it up, that is for sure. lol

Yes. Just remember that the Lord helps those who help themselves. He'll help, but you have some responsibility in the matter as well. There's a difference between asking for help and asking for someone to fix it for you. This applies to both people and God.

But that quote is not in the Bible wc.
And that is part of what I wanted to see about and discuss on this question.
Jesus DID fix it for us.
Most people seem to think this will give people an excuse to sin rampantly.
But truly, since Jesus has done so much for us, our gratitude stops that desire in its tracks.
Report as
You're right. The direct quote is not in the Bible, but it is implied numerous times. For all intents and purposes, Shinypate pretty much gave the same answer. Anyway, I was just trying to answer your question. Hope you find the answer you're looking for.

I didn't want to sound caustic love.
Sorry if I did.
I don't think we should impose on people and ask them to do our work for us in this life!

Of course He will. But He will not shield us from the bad consequences of our own bad decisions. Galatians 6:7 says 'Don't be misled, God is not one to be mocked but what a person sows this he will reap.' That having been said our Heavenly Father can help us to make better decisions and in some cases correct bad decisions. We are reminded at
1 Peter 5:7...to throw all our anxiety on Him (God) because He cares for us!' You see Jehovah God our heavenly father wants to help (Isaiah 48:17,18).

Report as
Isn't 'reaping what you sow' for the unsaved?
If not, then we are back to earning our own salvation, aren't we?
I see that He can turn around our mistakes and make them benefit His purpose.
But if He just leaves us to drift on our mistakes, then what makes us different from the world?
What hope do we have to offer the world in that case?
Isn't it the love of our blessed Savior that draws others to Him also?

Report as
Not really. Think about it, that bible principle is true for everyone, saved or not. In fact Jesus said at Matthew 24:13 "he that endures to the end is the one that will be saved." So a person's final salvation is not determined at the moment he begins to put faith in Jesus.

What makes us different from the world is that we shun it's attitudes of anything goes, same sex marriages, look out for number one, etc. These are just a few of the attitudes that characteristic the world that we live in. Yet Jesus said at John 15:19 "...you are no part of the world but I have chosen you out of the world..." So our obeying, to the best of our ability, that bible command and others like the Golden rule found at Matthew 7:12 "All things that you want man to do to you, you must do to them." Others too should see that we are different
and this should make us stand out. And when asked we give all glory and honor the Creator, Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18)
Report as
Matthew 24:13 is talking about the tribulation period.
We do not work out our own salvation.
Otherwise there was no reason for Jesus to have wasted His time on the cross and raise bodily from the grave.
There would be no reason for God to call us to Himself through His Holy Spirit.
We can't successfully shun the pull of the world on our own.
Only Jesus can do that for us as we rest in Him
God did not say you are saved by striving to the 'best of your abilities'.
Resting in Jesus' finished work at the cross, the One Who took our beating, our sins, our sickness, poverty and all the other trash of the world, is what sets us apart. We are incapable of setting ourselves apart without Jesus.
And I give glory to Abba Father for that!
Report as
You're right Matthew 24:13 is talking about the tribulation period. And all I was trying to say was that even during that time we will have to endure to be saved. Jesus mentioned later in Matthew 24:37-39 that even basic things of life distracted those in Noah's Day and could distract us too. By no means was I saying that Jesus' death was not needed. It is only by means of his death that we can have a relationship with our Creator. We do need God's power or holy spirit to resist the pull of this world. (2 Cor. 4:7, Acts 1:8) We can not do it on our own, for sure.

Report as
Pastor Joseph Prince teaches about resting in Jesus' finished work at the cross.
I am putting into practice the principal of saying; " Jesus You have the faith that this problem I am facing is going to work out."
"You have the faith that by Your stripes, I was healed."
It really takes the pressure off.
It releases me from the limitations of my own contrived faith and places me squarely on Jesus as my only Way.
I like it. But it is a process, lol.
