I have had recent anxiety and it's caused my neck to hurt which has happened before. but I have pain running up my scalp.

this scalp pain runs from the general area from where my neck pain was and runs up in a line just before my forehead. now this is actually spreading, yesterday it was only reaching to the top of my head and the day before that only the back! what is this and will it go away. the details are there is no redness of the scalp or anything appearing out of the ordinary. everything looks normal but it hurts.

See a chiropractor before this becomes chronic.

Of course a real Dr. will be able to help you better but stress and anxiety can cause your neck and upper back muscles to tighten up which can cause pain. It can press against nerves which cause it to radiate to other areas like your head and your arm. A Dr. may prescribe muscle relaxers or tranquilizers. I know by experience. Chiropractors, massage, stretches or relaxation techniques might help.
