What Does a Tomatillo Taste like?

Report as

Tomatillos, also known as husk tomato, jamberry, miltomate or tomate verde, is a small green to yellow member of the solanum family grows in a paper like cellulose husk. If cooked on their own, they're not very pleasant and usually smell and feel like okra which even taste a little like okra too. You can use them to make salsa.

How does this answer the question about Taste? For cyring out loud! The taste of an tomatillo is somewhere between a green tomato and citris fruit like star fruit, lemon or kiwi--though not at all sweet. It reminds me somewhat of a mild form of bitter melon. The raw texture is something like starfruit meets cucumber.
