Why do American tv shows (among other things) never mention someone is Canadian?

For example, the American show 'Shark Tank'. Two of the guys on there are Canadian, and it's never mentioned. In fact when the intro is playing and they introduce one of them they say 'He came to THIS country with only 20$ in his pocket', but he didn't. Is it bad for ratings or something? Do Americans really not want to hear about that?

Because it does not matter.

The reason the American TV shows do not mention an actor's originality would probably be to save their image. If the show is an American, they would want to keep it looking all American and not a mixture of actors from different nationalities.

Oh, Canada? It's somewhere to the north, and people don't go there.

Because Canadien actors, themselves. don't care?
Maybe they should make it more of an issue. Otherwise, who cares?
People think Liam Hemsworth is a Brit. He's not. Who cares?
Who flipping cares as long as you were born on this planet?!!
We'll address that last part in another decade or two.
