My parents friends cracked his knuckles when he was a school age kid and teenager kid. He had compintions with his friends. When he grew older and became a father to his first child he was never able to pick him up because he had serve arthritis in his knuckles and he was never able to do everyday jobs
NO! There has been no scientific data to support this. In fact, what little data there is actually confirms the opposite. So go ahead, crack away! I crack mine every day, am 47 years old and my knuckles are just fine. :)
Some people crack their knuckles by pulling the tip of each finger one at a time until they hear a crack. Others make a tight fist or bend their fingers backwards away from the hand, cracking the lot at once. If you are one of those people who sits and cracks your knuckles while others wince, at some point somebody is bound to have told you that cracking your joints gives you arthritis. bt it doesnt cause arthritis.
There was a study done on this and no it does not give you arthritis but your grip strength becomes about 2/3rd of what it would have been if you didn't, how they did this study I have no idea, my mom told me about this because I crack a lot of my joints(including knuckles, neck, toes, ect...) and got scared when someone told me that.
