Still can't bend, lift, twist or sit 3 months after back surgery but need a job ASAP. Any ideas on suitable work so I can
pay rent? :/

I thought about trying to get a seasonal job with a department store but even standing for more than 45 minutes is very painful in my leg and foot just like pre surgery, little less standing in place at a cash register. I'm still in so much pain I know that I should be resting a little longer but I can't believe I'm even saying it but I'm literally down to $67 :-( I'm very very scared and worried and I absolutely need to go back to work. I hear disability texts are too long and I hope to not be out that long anyway. Thanks so much in advance!

Seattle eh? Maybe a part-time at a coffee house...no shortage of those. And I wish you the best of luck.

haha, you're definitely right there. Definitely no shortage of those. I'm worried about standing in place too long but that's not a bad idea actually. Thank you so much for your suggestion and well wishes. :D

Anytime...It's hard enough to find a job these days, let alone finding a job when we have an ailment to deal with...

What are your job skills? A bank teller gets pretty good pay. You could also sign up with a temp agency, that calls when they have a short term job that needs filled.

That's a really great idea about the temp agencies! I don't know how but I had completely forgotten about those. I'm in the first couple years of my marketing career even though I'm almost 40, lol. I don't have any bank experience but that's not a bad idea. Thanks so much!

Have you been going to physical therapy? If not that could be why.

I sure have been, thank you for thinking of that though. They just have me doing the pelvic tilt all day long, lol

Hmmm. You should be doing different ones if the pain is in your leg. Tell them to either change up your exercises(bc they aren't working) or you will find someone else. Have you also been back to the doctor?

You could design websites, it's a good sitting job to do so you can still recover. or you could apply to be an ask mod. feel better!!
