Not one word of this is true!
Report as
I don't think they are taking from rich people I think it's just raising taxes on everyone but I really don't understand it
Report as
Timothy: You're right, but it's by no means only the rich people the Democrats will be confiscating money from. It's anyone who's lucky enough to have a job nowadays. To a Democrat, a "rich" person is anyone who makes $35,000 a year.

obamacare is good for people who dont have it and need it when they need insurance to pay for their medical bills. The bad thing is it goes against our natural rights. Forcing people well not say forcing um trying to make people embrace the idea but its bad because you have the right to buy what kind of insurance that you need or if you dont want to have any at all

If you have no insurance, WE are probably stuck paying your medical bills when something goes wrong. Gee, thanks

It's basically forcing more wealthy people to pay for others healthcare like some sort of socialist state.

Why do the opponents of healthcare always go straight to name calling? The affordable care act requires people to buy health insurance, rich people will get to keep their stolen money!!
Report as
Stolen?! In what way is their money stolen?!

It's such an injustice that those who get up every morning and work hard at a job they can't stand should have so "much," while those who sit around all day, watching Oprah, smoking pot, eating Cheetos, "studying" for a useless, worthless degree in English Lit, and living off government handouts should have so "little."
Report as
Willis, get your head out of the mythical fox world and try reality. The stereotypes you describe are laughable
Report as
Boo, I think you have to get into reality that many people on free healthcare are doing just that.
Report as
No, "many people" are not doing that. There is a small % who abuse welfare, just like there is a small % who abuse other things but the mythical "free loader driving a Lexis" is just that

Any government program that forces citizens to buy something is wrong. This program says if you do not buy insurance you will be penalized at tax time. That is not what America is about.

I'm forced to buy car insurance, forced to take actions for "my own protection" why would we not want people to be responsible enough to have health care coverage?
Report as
You are not forced to drive, so you are not forced to buy car insurance. And if you do not buy car insurance you are not penalized on your taxes for it.
Report as
I'm not forced to drive but ALL people are forced to health care at some point...
And you don't answer the rest of it.

I went for a few years without healthcare and the only one it cost was me. I paid the doctor as needed which was maybe twice. Many people in their early 20's have gone without healthcare and did just fine. The idea was suppose to regulate the healthcare industry not the American people.
Report as
Darling, I haven't seen a doc since 1983 but that doesn't mean I won't have to someday. You'll wait until you have a problem that's expensive before wanting insurance and the only reason you'll get one then I'd the ACA.
Medical care is not optional and people that can't afford basic care blows up our medical costs.

The correct name of the act is called the Affordable Care Act, ACA. It has been established finally as a result of the spiraling cost of health care in the United States. Our county is one of the poorest countries at providing health care, however we are the most expensive.
The Affordable Care Act will ensure all Americans will have access to affordable health care, eliminating the need for taxpayers to cover the cost of indigent individuals who cannot afford the cost of medical checkups, therefore foregoing exams and possible preventative care. It is always best to prevent disease rather than attempt to cure it after it's onslaught.
As a society and individuals, it is our responsibility to care for ourselves and we should consider any attempts to prevent disease a preferred option.
The Affordable Care Act will prevent societies need to care for those who have become indigent as a result of non-insured individuals. It will also prevent catastrophic financial burdens on those who are diagnosed with a serious illness but are not adequately insured to cover the unimaginable costs of health care.

Did you actually say that some have become indigent as the result of non-insured individuals?
Report as
How could a treatment that cost just $300,000.00 be handled by most uninsured Americans today? I know it would be impossible for me to fork out that much in order to save my life, or God forbid my wife or children. But America will take care of us, regardless. That will put me broke, without a house, and ultimately unable to pay. What is sad is that price has been set by business men. So I loose my $150,000 home, my three automobiles, and whatever savings I have in order to pay for my treatment. But I might live. After all is lost, society must pay the rest of the tab since I must claim indigent and can no longer pay my bills.
The Affordable Care Act will stop that from happening.

Obamacare is bad because I never asked the federal government to stick its big, intrusive nose into my personal affairs and manage my own private business for me. If I want health insurance, I'll buy it. In addition to Medicare and Social Security taxes, in addition to state and federal income taxes, get ready to pay those Obamacare taxes. Oh, unless you already have private health insurance...and your premiums are about to skyrocket.

In less dramatic terms. Some prices go up, some go down and those who have been locked out now have an in

At the expense of those who actually create wealth. Somebody, somewhere, is going to have to tighten their belt. And in the meantime, you don't think this is going to affect you.
Report as
Stop with the wealth creator nonsense. Small business does more for creating jobs than most. Large corps are mostly sitting on their cash. If you think every other industrialized nation can get it right but we can't, you apparently don't believe in American ingenuity.
Report as
Alright, have at it. I'm tired of arguing about this. As a Republican, I wish my party would fund Obamacare, then we can all sit back and watch it crash and burn. Then the USA won't have another Democratic president for at least twelve years beyond the current Crybaby-In-Chief (and hopefully much longer than that). Keep talking, Obama. Do your damage.

Everyone's opinion will be colored by how it affects them. A guy. In my state is currently paying $1320 a MONTH for insurance and that's with a $2000 deductable. He's pleased with the ACA. Another person had their insurance go up by $100 a month, they aren't so happy

If you are currently working, chances are that you will be working less than 29 hours. I hope you enjoy your time off. Perhaps you can hunt for food to support your family. I have heard that squires taste good if there are cooked properly.
Report as
Oh stop, companies have been doing that forever so as to not pay benefits. As for working, I work more hours than you could believe as a small business owner and yes, squirrel tastes good if cooked right

It will reduce the amount of jobs for people who wish to work full. There will be more part time jobs, less than 29 hours a week. We will become a 3rd world country. Thank you, Obama!
