What should I do for halloween?

1 . How do I get oodles of candy? Hardly anyone comes to my street because I think only a few homes do candy out of like 20 homes! And the neighborhood right next to us; well; isnt a good spot either.. my siblings were very unsuccesful there last year. I went with a friend last year around her neighborhood and collected 1/4 of a pillowcase in just an hour!! But i moved schools and no longer have that oppurtunity.. should i try to schedule something with her or another friend? And the neighborhood behind me is a rich mansion type neighborhood but i am unsure if they open the gates for halloween or not.

2. Costume ideas? 13 yrs old. Girl. No childish princess stuff. Prefferably things to get at home? Thanks!! :)

Door to door trick or treating is slowly fading out in many areas. A lot of schools and churches offer festivals with trunk or treating in a much safer environment.

As for a costume from home: 80's style, nerd, housewife, baby, punker, sports player...

I agree with Kuuipo. My community hardly ever trick or treated. We invite a couple of people to this community center and we bring healthy and warm snacks for everyone. You can go trick or treat with some fruit candies inside the building and go scare people. It's a really fun time to get along with other people. It's just really boring now that im older it makes more sense to stay home to give healthy snacks, go to the community for fun, or just stay around to help your younger friends.

By the way if you want to really go trick or treating outside, then feel free to do so! My idea of a costume without hot glue or expensive materials:
To be the evil queen, you must have a black plastic bag, a piece of mostly black clothing. Just cut a hole in the garbage bag, poke your head through it and wear mostly black. With your hair, you can do a waterfall side braid (search on YOUTUBE for tutorial) and put some black colored ribbons on the side. Done.
