why is shrek green?

Cuz he's green with envy that prince charming was all up on his lady! He never turned his natural color again...

two reasons:
1) He is a fairytale creature and the people who made the movie thought he looked best that color. 2) He is a ogar. Ogars are usually green and they always live in swamps. He's also green probably to blend in with the algae and slime. :)

I was just kidding. You had said "wandering" but I think you meant "wondering". My dad says that to me all the time. "Hey dad, I wonder if pigs could really fly?", he'd say "Well, don't wonder to far you might get lost." Get it...?
