If its Compressible, is it solid liquid or gas?

Report as

it can be both liquid or a gas depending on its compressibility....if it is compressed more than its a gas else its a liquid.....The reason behind this is that liquids have less intermolecular spaces than solids .As a result, they can be compressed less than solids. On the other hand, solids are rigid and do not have intermolecular spaces so it cannot be compressed...!and For the most part, a gas is compressible. Under certain conditions, both liquids and solids are compressible, but not to a great extent. Once example, is if carbon is compressed under great pressure and heat, it turns to diamond. On the other hand, when H2O changes from liquid to solid, it expands in volume. If it didn't there would be no life on earth

Report as

Gas.

Report as

all three are compressible.

Report as
I don't think water in liquid form can be compressed.
Report as
it can.

Report as

its most likely a gas

Report as

If you are expected to give only one choice as an answer it will be gas.

Report as

All three, gases (like in a SCUBA tank) goes by the term PSI. Water is one exception to the liquid compression rule though. If the question is about water it can 't be compressed

Report as

solids cannot be compressed because of the strong inter molecular forces between the particles, liquids can be compressed, but a little, due to the inter molecular forces between the particles and gases can be compressed the most due to the negligible amount of inter molecular forces between the particles that
