since the gov't shut down, i wont be able to get my wic?

i been getting wic since august. will i not be able to get anymore since the govt shut down?

WIC is funded by federal funds, but administered by state agencies. I've heard news reports in my state that they have enough to keep the program funded for at least 2 weeks. If the shutdown lasts longer than that, then there could be some problems but they haven't addressed that potential yet. Check with the agency that runs the program in your state.

depends on if that was one of the "non-essential expenditures"

From what I recall, I got my WIC from the county health department in the county in which I lived at the time (16 yrs ago); call the county health department or where ever you get your WIC and inquire. They may be operating, if it is not a FEDERAL office.
