i personally believe in God, and its pretty amazing to have something to believe in no matter what i go through. If you don't believe in God, that's okay, but life is a lot better with him in it so maybe you should give him a chance. I'm not saying conform, just try it out
Your believes should be in God.not religion religion is traditions of man not God a relationship with the father it's all God is asking for talk to Him He's your Father Jesus is the way the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through Him read the Bible that will scare the hell out of you
You don't have to believe in religion at all. All religions are false except for the one true religion that honors Christ as our Savior. He died for your sins. Just believe in Jesus. Read the book of John to find out who he is. Read it again at least twice so that more will sink in and begin to make sense. It's profound so it takes time to get it. God bless you.
Of course not. A "religion" is nothing more than one of several different ways that "man" has decided people should worship our creator - involving only their own special made up laws and regulations. It's a human contrived control thing. I believe in God and love Jesus. But I'll be damned if I allow any human to tell me how to go about it.
It's not about religion, its about having a relationship with God. He gave us the Bible to be able to learn about Him, know what He expects from us, and to be able to guide us throughout our lives to live to the best of our capabilities, even though we are imperfect and that the world is filled with bad.
However, by reading the Bible, you'll see that He asks certain points from His people. At that point you will want to find other people that are doing the same as you, trying to get closer to God, and you can search for a religion that is doing their best to do exactly what God asks. A religion that: - helps you get closer to God by helping you learn about him and everything he has done for us (Matthew 4:10; Psalm 83:18; James 4:8) - bases its teachings on the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16,17) - does not force you to pay for anything (2 Corinthians 9:7) - is united around the world with others that share that same religion, in other words, that does not war between those of the same religion (John 13:35; 1 John 4:20,21) - preaches God's Kingdom as man's only hope (Matthew 24:14; Daniel 2:44) - accepts Jesus as God's means of salvation (Acts 4:12; John 3:36)
It's not religion you need to search for, but truth. God has placed His image within each of us and there is a little voice inside that speaks to us, leading us towards the truth of God.
There are those who attend church who do not know God and those who do not go to church who know Him. The bottom line is, according to the bible, you have to know Jesus as Savior and Lord for he said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (enters heaven) but through me."
