the old kkk, as such, does not exist. there are now fragmented groups that have the same stupidity as a guiding principal. many have names reminiscient of the kkk. most are kind of trying to "re-brand" themselves. one of the largest of their cesspits was sued and had to give up, sell, or hand over anything of monetary value. the leader, an old guy that was named Butler died. these people aren't the joke they seem to be. people laughed at them in Germany too, and said "that can't happen here". they thought their constitution protected them. they thought those crude, stupid rough housers and street fighters wouldn't be taken seriously. look what happened.
The Klan has died many times, but new versions of it spawn to take the old group's place. From its last death sprang many smaller groups who preach the same hatred but have joined forces with neo-Nazis and other white supremest groups. What do they do? They practice the same ceremonies, preach the same hatred. Their numbers are greatly reduced from the past, but...
Yes they exist, they have rallies and gatherings and things. Quick fact! Did you know that the NRA was founded the same year the KKK was considered an illegal hate group? Both infamous supporters of violence against black people in the early days of the US. Connection? You decide! (:

Sadly, they very much do exist. If you're in the South and go outside of the big cities, it's all over. They don't do lynching like they did in the 40s and 50s. They have a different MO now. I know a girl whose daddy is lawyer for a certain secret organization. He is a crime scene specialist. According to her, after a lynching they call him, and he fixes the crime scene to look like regular homicide. So the reason you don't hear of lynchings is not because they don't happen, but because they are hidden as regular, unsolved crimes.
Just a few months ago they came to Memphis, Tn in the downtown area, but they weren't allowed to wear their robes, can't remember what they were protesting against though :/ but they recruit more KKK members through the internet nowadays.
