I work better (on essays and such) if I leave them for one or two days before the deadline or for last minute...is this ok?

I always thought that way, too. But actually, it would be better to do a rough draft, let it sit for a couple days, then revisit it to make improvements. I use to procrastinate.
Just look at something you already submitted and had graded. Can't you think of a way to make it better?

Well you may be able to get by with it now, but in college, it won't be that easy. I suggest slowly easing into a better study schedule

No it's not okay to wait just a few days before the deadline. Make sure you go fairly in to detail about what your teacher want. In college it will be harder and your professor can easily see thru your "bs".

With all due respect, it is not bs. I have tried to work on things with enough time before the deadline but I simply don't get around to it, get distracted often, or simply do not put as much effort into it. It;s not that I am lazy, but it's just what I am comfortable with, although I know in the future it will backfire against me.
