I was my sons learning coach for 2 years through K12. You can get ahead. They will tell you that if you already know something to take the test at the end of that lesson. As long as you pass it, you can move on. That is one of the advantages of being homeschooled. They make it very clear that each student learns at their own pace. So if you are a student who is excelling, you are in no way expected to repeat what course work you already know. Talk to your teacher, or contact 'the school' to find out how to go about 'skipping' ahead. And as far as whether or not I think online schooling is a good idea...yes, I think it is a very good idea, & people have all kinds of reasons for being home schooled. I think you should look into it, and see if it's right for you.

No that is not true, I'm in k12, I've asked myself if I could get ahead and graduate early, but they said it's not possible for high schoolers, is not possible for anyone. Sorry, it's a bummer. you can only get ahead if you are in Elementry or early middle school in k12.

Hi. That really surprises me. Who did you speak with? We have friends that have a freshman and a sophomore in K12, and the sophomore was able to skip ahead to the end of sophomore year course work, and then start the junior year course work.
If I were you, I would call and speak to somebody else.
