I am not sure exactly what the question is here.. but . do you want to know why your maiden name is on your marriage certificate? If so it is because this is still your legal name until you have it changed with the government. Your certificate shows that you (legal name) are legally married to your husband (legal name) and are eligible to have your last name legally changed without have to go through formal court proceedings to do so. Your maiden name will remain your legal name until you change it with Social Security office, at which time you need to change it with the DMV, Bank, etc.
