not necessarily. My dad didnt get his college degree and works for a huge leather working company. My mom didnt get her college degree either yet she is a 5 star chef and has worked at many restaurants
It depends on what you want to do. If you want to be a farmer or become of mechanic...probably not. However, there are trade schools for mechanics and it couldn't hurt to have a couple of business or agriculture classes if you want to be a farmer
no of course you don't need one to be successful.. like anything though, some companies may exclude you if you don't have a college degree. I've seen kids outa high school just keep working at their convenience store job and not attend college.. several years later they become a assist manager of the store, etc... All this time they live at home with mommy and daddy and pay no rent, so they can save up most of their salary... after 5 years , they have saved over $75,000 and that's based on only $27,000 salary per year. But like I said, since they leech off their parents and pay no rent, they can easily save $15,000 a year off the $27,000 salary. , Then bingo , 5 years later they have $75,000.. They then buy a $150,000 house putting $50,000 down ... a few years later the house is now worth $220,000... so just like that some pimple faced high school kids have $120,000 in equity on a house and they just turned 25... Another way people get ahead without a college degree is butt kissing.. or some women sleep with the owner or marry into money.. .etc.
yes, you need a college degree to become successful. remember that education is the greatest weapon to change the world. Even if you have the potential, you can't improve it if you don't have education.
Most people who doesnt have a college degree are not very successfull, but i guess its possible. Maybe there is something you are very good at, like for instance sport, acting or standup? If you have characteristic features and a great smile maybe you can make a youtube series. Maybe hidden camera or something but it have to look professional ;)
I would say most people pursue a college degree because they don't want to take a chance at being unsuccessful. College is a way to train people to be successful and college gives them the degree paper for employers just to even consider giving them the job. As for, can it be done? Yes. However, you'd probably have to either have your own business, whatever that may be and of course, keep it running up. Or be talented in something. Example, like acting, sales rep, telemarketer and the list goes on.
College degree didn't assure you a successful career for your life, but it makes your chances of being succeed higher in some field. While a career without a college degree is like what we want to do in our life without seeking any certification for doing the same and we have a determination for doing that work, I think car mechanic & farm owner didn't required a college degree for being successful in life...:)
