yes. but almost always fails because many people take this word to their advantage over the other person. it's not nice, really. but in some cases (a rarity), it helps others; to recuperate from their last.
I don't think so. How can anyone know whether someone has a perfect person made for them? What defines perfect? I believe a successful relationship is based off of effort given by the two sides, and then love can be found and grow.
Yep, for sure! They are also called split-aparts. Aristotle first talks about them as you being one with another person before you are taken down from heaven to be born. In the traveling process, you and this other person are split into two people. According to Aristotle, you will both spend the rest of your life looking for your split-apart. I found mine. We were in love the moment we met, everything I had written on my list of what I wanted in a partner were in this man. I mean everything, right down to the height, hair and eye color, and hairy chest. The things about me that made other relationships fail, were exactly what he loved about me. If I had one wish for the world, I would wish that everyone could find their split-aparts--it would change the world. This doesn't mean we don't work hard at keeping each other happy, that's just the way it is in any successful relationship, but it does mean we are each so delighted with the other person, that it ceases to be work and becomes a dance of love! Don't "settle."
