How tall and how much do you have to weight to be a model? Any other tips around modelling?

Report as

It use to be that you had to be 5' 8" or taller weight....the skinnier the better. I used to model and I'm a little over 5' 8", I was more on the curvy side so I weighed and 114 lbs. For other tips I would say, BE CONFIDENT!!!! put on 2 or 3 layers of skin. Most of all have fun.

There are models and agencies that cater to ALL kinds of body types and looks.

You have print models, runway models, alternative models, plus sized models..... There is even an agency in NYC called "Ugly" that represents people who are more "Unique" in their appearance.

Lol that's horrible

What? The "Ugly" agency? That isn't horrible. They are taking the people who normal agencies and in some cases normal society say are ugly and putting them out there and showing people that they are beautiful too.

For a runway model I think it's around 5'9......No idea about the weight though.

There are many types of models. Runway models are always crazy skinny and tall, but for catalogues they don't have to be. It really depends on what clothes you're modeling. As long as you aren't very fat you should be fine.
