Well, my mom made my brother eat a cigarette when she caught him smoking many years ago-- nothing happened to him-- to this very day he doesn't smoke-- but he does chew tobacco. True story

My brother got a little nauseated but other than that he was fine-- Jeeze, looking back now I think, "how cruel!"

I'm sure someone used the technique and it became the "thing to do" in that situation way back when.

When my cousin got caught, my aunt made him smoke until he was so sick he couldn't even crawl. It actually worked - just the smell of tobacco can make him lose his lunch.

So the effects I had when I ate was pretty bad , I threw up four times and the smell makes me throw up still... Not doing that again .
