If it was an analogy, fine. If it was a simile, fine. But if it was an equivalevcy, no, I don't see how the ACA is in any way similar to slavery. We have lots of choices in the ACA, and we are choosing the insurance to serve us, and not us to serve the insurance. What is equivalency? Well, calling a patriot a terrorist is an equivalence. Calling him a arsonist is an equivalence. Saying he was acting like a terrorist, that's a simile.
It is ridiculous, and it does mitigate a true American tragedy. But desperation and anger cause people to lose their sense of rationalism, not to mention some of these people would feel right at home in the Westboro Baptist Church. =/
