How can I get more math problems correct.

I'm not to the point where I have to remember equations so all I have to do is solve equations and I get graded on whether I solved it right or not. So how can I get more questions right if it's a game of luck?

Math should not be a game of luck.
I'm assuming you are seeing equations like
x+14=28
What you do is you subtract 14 from itself, and 28. You do this because you are using inverse operations of subtraction and addition, which is just a fancy way of saying addition undoes subtraction and subtraction undoes addition.
After you subtracted 14 from both sides of the equal signs, (you have to do it on both sides to make it equal) your equation should look like:
x=14 because you bring the x and the = down to the bottom.
I hope this is what you were looking for.

I don't believe it's a game of luck, it was just an example. You have to use the answer you get trusting that you made no mistakes, which happen a lot (if you are human anyway). It's very easy to make stupid mistakes. So I'm asking how I can minimize these idiotic mistakes.

If you believe it's just luck then obviously you have no control over what you get right or wrong.

Great news though. It not luck. All you have to do is keep at it. Go see your teacher for extra help. Keep at it and you'll get it down.

You solve the equation then you backtrack working from end to beginning to see if you have the right answer.

Thanks, I'll try that.

Don't panic when you see alot of numbers & variables. Just think about it easly, relax, and try to find tricks to remember things i.e. x = Domain , so remrmber xD which looks like a laughing face. Also give yrself enough time to do the problem & double chk it at the end. Remenber write neatly (as in line things up well) and think neatly. Solving a problem is like solving a map step by step and you will get there.
