If you dye it, not necessarily. Depends. If you dye it crazy colors like pink or what have you, it can actually be healthy since most semi-permanent "crazy" colors are vegetable oil based or contain proteins. For example, pravana chromasilk vivids. It contains silk and keratin protein. Very good for your hair! Now if you are talking about bleaching, bleaching is damaging. Sorry to say it but it is. I bleach my hair and my hair is pretty healthy. No, it isn't as shiny as it use to be but I love my hair so thats okay for me. It really all depends on your hair background/history on how damaging the bleach will be. Nonetheless, bleaching is damaging in one
way or another.

Yes. Dying hair will cause it to dry out, and excessive dying can cause hair loss.

That's bleach. I've been dyeing my hair since the third grade and my hair is perfectly fine. My cousin has been dyeing hers for almost twenty years and hers is fine. It's only bleach that's harmful.

Not if you get the right kind. Make sure it is non toxic and don't do light colors.

I can tell you from years of experience, dye doesn't hurt your hair at all. People will tell you it does (I get it all the time) but either they're just old-fashioned and don't like stuff like hair dyeing and tatoos and stuff (like my aunt - she even said hair dye can give you cancer lol) or they're retarded and don't know what they're talking about.
Like I said, dye doesn't damage your hair, but bleach does. It's fine to bleach it once in a while just not all the time or your hair will be fried.

possibly. Definitely go to a professional, so you can prevent as much damage as possible.

Possibly. It depends. If you have very thick hair, probably not. If it's very thin I wouldn't reccomend it. Try buying organic brands if you would be doing it yourself at home but if you get it done professionally make sure you ask about any side affects. Good luck!
