Go to your doctor and if you "are" given antibiotics, take every single one. 1.Many people are unaware that a streptococcal infection can travel to your or your child's heart and destroy your heart valves and you often don't know until it is too late. 2. Many doctors fail to correctly explain what causes antibiotic resistant diseases or infections and even get caught up in the hot button "misuse & over prescription" hoopla themselves. It is not the over use of antibiotics to treat bacterial infections that leads to resistant strains, it is the failure of the patients to complete the ENTIRE course of of antibiotics, so if you just stop because you feel better, not all the infectious bacteria are killed and they become more increasingly resistant to antibiotics as they are passed around. The short version. 3. You can take something over the counter like Tylenol or Ibuprofen for the pain and sinus medication that fits your symptoms whether it's viral or bacterial. OF course if you are not an adult,(I don't remember) go to your parents with all this & don't act on your own! Feel Better Soon!
