Make a burial box for your bird, perhaps out of a shoebox you have. Decorate it, and write a letter to your bird. Put that letter in with your bird in the box, or keep it, and then bury the bird somewhere close by. Be sure to bury it 3 feet under the ground, so that animals will not dig it up. Sorry to hear that!
You should try to get over your pet and until you feel ready to get a new pet you should bury it and try to celebrate it's life I mean that's what I would do. If my answer sound mean i'm not try to be mean at all. Sorry for your loss.
ive been ur position before, my bird was a great friend when it passed i made a nice burial box for it and wrapped the body in cotton, and buried him in a nice spot in the yard and prayed, which does help after a while consider getting a new pet but always keep ur old pal in ur heartand prayer for it, maybe u can even light a candle for him at church, just know that he's flying free in heaven and feel happy for that
