How can I find a music downloaded on my dell laptop that i just purchased from a non- iTunes store? Not in music or download files.

In my opinion try saving a downloaded file again and check under "Save in" tab just before you click save. Then you can go back to that location and you might get it there. Also try the search button from start button.

I'd search for the song in the C: drive.

They usually create a folder in there when you download something.
