How much protein should an 18yr old male be eating a day if trying to build muscle?

Dietitians usually tell you it is based on the lean tissue in your body. Which means a body composition test (body fat percentage) must be performed. So it's something like 2 gr. of protein per lb. of lean tissue.

Just make sure your eating a good diet rich in lean protein and good protein supplementation. If you develop diarrhea is because you're over doing it.

Teen boys between 14 and 18 need to consume more protein than girls: approximately 52 grams per day, compared to the 46 grams for girls.
