What does it mean?

When something happens that isn't even affecting me it gets stuck in my head. like today my dad yelled at my sister and it's been stuck in my head and it makes me upset when i think about it and i feel 'scarred for life' and i don't know why it always happens to me. i have stuff from when i was younger too that will always feel traumatic to me and they weren't even bad. it makes me depressed and sad. i don't mean to sound dumb i'm just not sure. is it guilt or do i just feel others pain? please don't be mean hahaha

You have a keen sense for trauma/impending trauma; I suspect one or two things happened when you were younger to set this. Once those antennae go up, they almost never can come back down. I still have it from when I was a kid, and I am over FIFTY now.

You're not dumb. In fact when you get older it will be your spider-sense that not a lot of people have. Learn to not let it control you (things are always the worst when you are in the middle of the situation, let that stuff age for a while and look back and analyze).

If I sit back and let it happen, I can spot sh*t coming down from 50 feet in a crowded room. Better yet, sometimes I can spot someone with the same (dis)ability in a room, *regardless* of whether stuff is coming down or not. (Creepily, I see them spot me ....).

Its a fact that kids exposed to this learn how to spot it as a survival tactic, and it *never leaves*.

i see a teacher yell at a kid cause the kid made a simple mistake and it just mad me mad. had nothing to do with me. i didnt even like the kid. but i hated the teacher for it and i kinda yelled at him when he asked me what i was doing. idk i do the samethings. i think its cause our emotions build up and we just have to release some stress

It is called, 'empathy'. It affects most humans.

I think you have deeper spiritual roots than you think, and if that spuds weird feel free to ignore it. For example if someone around me is feeling any emotion I feel it to. It's important to learn to not let that stuff effect you. Literally brush it off you if you have to.

I can be the same sometimes. It's normal in my opinion.

You say "it isn't affecting me" but it clearly is. This, and the way you say it has nothing to do with you and "it wasn't even bad" tells me you won't allow yourself to grieve and thereby release any pain you've had in the past. It's as if you don't feel you've suffered enough to deserve to grieve. I can understand the nobility of holding others' pains more highly than your own, but it isn't healthy to ignore what you have felt yourself. This creates a cycle where you then feel particularly victimized by seemingly harmless situations like the one with your sister today, just to raise the volume of your "inner drama" a little more (that you might finally hear it). My guess is there's a part of you that wants to be heard, honored and ultimately released; something that got hurt and never really healed. You may find that the "victim mentality" only increases until that happens. If you're not the type to explore your own psyche with much success, find a good counselor. There is no shame; it is the sane ones who take their mental well being to be a top priority. Be honest and curious about your own feelings. Watch them be experienced in yourself and watch what kind of stories come up, what you find yourself saying.

Maybe its guilt. Maybe its you putting yourself in other s situations, and seeing them bigger. Well, just, tell everything you feel to God. He will listen.
