Could our dreams be considered the 4th dimension?

I know a lot of people call it rubbish but if you think about it could be.

Report as

Not at all. It's impossible to perceive what the 4th dimension consists of. It is beyond all human comprehension because we have reference point by which to compare it. The most basic definition of the 4th dimension is described as, being perpendicular to a right angle. And that is something no human being has ever been able to experience.

Edit~ *no* reference point.

can't we consider the universe as a combination of space-time and thus consider time as the 4th dimension?
i'm not learned in these things thats why im asking.
Report as
No, I'm afraid it can't be viewed as that. 'Time' is a human concept. It has absolutely no physical value, only mathematical. Space is part of the physical/3-D realm. 3-D plus time does not equal 4-D.

Not really. Dreams are part of the subconscious mind. I think if you read some about the dimensions, you will be amazed at all the theories.

JW- Because of that q I answered (late) last night...I had a dream about a Japanese name. I remembered it when I woke up, but forgot to write it down. In my dream, I was told what it meant...and was going to look it up for the fun of it. Now, I can't quite remember it. :/

Isoroku Yamamoto ?

Ahaha Nope, that wasn't it. I'm thinking it might have been three names or three parts to the name. I also can't remember what the person in my dream said it meant either. (You're too funny.) :)

If you want to call it that, but I watched a short film in the fourth dimension. It was in 4D because you could feel what went on on the screen: someone was sprayed with water, and a light sprinkle came upon the audience. A wind came on the screen, and we were blown with an unidentifiable wind.

the first time Frankenstein went onto the big screen they actually went far enough as to lightly electricute the audience. but wouldn't the sense of touch just be part of the third demension
Report as
Nope. Three D is when they pop out. The thing even told us it was 4D

I recommend a book from the collection " The Big Questions" titled Physics", author Michael Brooks (Physics& Cosmology Consultant) There is a chapter "do we live in a simulation? " which can give an answer to your question, or at least a starting point to find your own answer.

Dimension needs two opposing directions or two opposing something's. Left right is one dimension. Up down is another. Forward backward is the third. If you can identify opposing directions in dreams I'm with you.

No, unfortunately its not that simple. If you want to know more about the 4th dimension, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-dimensional_space
