Medications that help with ulcers can reduce the amount of acid in your stomach, which is causing the ulcers to form, but they also help with digesting food and absorbing food properly, and preventing harmful bacteria from forming in the stomach and intestines, as well.
It won't. The digestive enzymes in the stomach are one of the reasons of ulcers. Digestive enzyme capsules are harmful to tissue therefore they should never be taken on an empty stomach for people with ulcers, always with food. Even then, if you have an ulcer keep your eye open for the symptoms, if they get worse while taking such medicine talk to your doctor. There are enzyme capsules that are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach, like anti-inflammatory enzymes, patients with ulcers avoid taking those altogether.
