Why was the song "Wooly Bully" banned by some radio stations in the 60s?

It was mistakenly thought that they lyrics were too suggestive or even obscene. Part of the problem was that the singers slurred the words so much that they were very difficult to understand. And the lyrics included slang that authorities were afraid they didn't understand.
