What is with cilantro? Do you leave it in open air in fridge...the incubated shelf life sucks. What is the best way?!
I always keep it in a sandwich bag to help preserve it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a long shelf life. Best to use it as quickly as possible.
Buy as much as you need when you are going to use it.
Cilantro doesn't last long that's why it's fifty cents a pound. I keep it in a plastic bag with a little bit of water, to keep the stems wet and I put the plastic bag in a cup in the refrigerator.
I don't buy enough to store, doesn't store well.
Freeze it. You cant use it as a garnish after that but it stays good for mixing into recipes. I wrap a bunch in a paper towel, place in baggie and freeze.
